Matfre Ermengaud's Breviari D'Amor and Daniel 9.26

Daniel 9.26 is a text of considerable interest, although it was not used by the earliest Christians as a prophecy of Jesus Christ. A novel exegesis of the verse centred on the phrase ? ? was suggested in the 1288 work Breviari d'amor by the troubadour Matfre Ermengaud, from the Béziers area, and is the subject of the present note.
